Thats because "Cartoon Network" isnt much about "cartoons" it turns out. About 85% of the job opps and internships on their site is for illustrators and graphic designers.
I went through the same stuff when applying to grad-schools. It was down to the wire, and I seriously almost sent out all my Statement of Purpose letters with only one school being mentioned. I had the good fortune of proof-reading them right before I sent them, and had to make a mad rush to reprint.
Also, multimedia programs have sex with dicks. Dick on dick action. The pico day flash I've been making bombed every computer I'd try it on, and it took two very valuable weeks to figure out that a motion-guide was corrupt or some shit. I now have two days to finish it.
So all in all, this shit happens to everyone. It just depends on how much time you give yourself to correct the mistakes. Very funny comic, and I hope everything works out for you.

That really sucks man, but I wouldn't necessarily see it as a deal breaker. It's a really bad error, but they would probably overlook. I'd stay hopeful.
