I'm actually useless with any action script
Hehe sowee

Here's something I made a few months ago.

<a href="http://www.dimd.nait.ca/~mmcdonald21/cMenu/example.fla">http://www.dimd.nait.ca/~mmcdonald21/
cMenu/example.fla</a>

All you need to do is put your animation inside the "animation" mc, and the menu will do the rest. Just note that looped movieclips won't pause, so it's not perfect.

Example here.

<a href="http://www.dimd.nait.ca/~mmcdonald21/cMenu/example.html">http://www.dimd.nait.ca/~mmcdonald21/
cMenu/example.html</a>

This is a very interesting navigation bar! I love the frame counter. My biggest concern with that is the fact that it all needs to be put into one MC... if I don't find a better solution, I will look into this further. Thanks.

whatever that screenshot is, coming from you, it's gonna be awesome.

Hope you like it! I also hope it gets done, and done properly.

Rob, why not do a loop and search for any movie clips and pause them?

Pretty background :3

Thanks </:^-)]=E<;

that cam is oooold.

Skeik-Sprite, because I'm still learning as3.

And I'm trying to grasp to concept of for/while loops.

Alright, alright! Let's stay on topic here, guys.

>>Skeik-Sprite
Looping through movieclips to pause them? Bit complex don't you think?

It's AS3. Set the stage frame rate to near to 0.
The easiers solution is usually the best.

The fact that Rob's nav bar doesnt pause movie clips is the least of my problems. ALL of my movies with the AS2 nav bar has that issue and its no biggie.

This discussion better be leading up to you guys cookin' up something good.

well... I made a AS3 Vcam... it's based off another Vcam but it solve a major provlem that the other one had... I made can edit it so that i can be placed in any movieclip and control that movieclip... but there is a link for a AS3 Vcam on the AS3 main on the bbs...

<a href="http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/695818">http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/6 95818</a>

try this...

or this...

<a href="http://flashenabledblog.com/2008/04/02/flash-vcam-as3/">http://flashenabledblog.com/2008/04/0 2/flash-vcam-as3/</a>

if you want my version just ask....

hmmmmmm... yes, well first of all, if you have read the post properly, it says that I have a AS3 Vcam. The SAME AS3 Vcam that you posted, oddly enough! What I need in AS3 is a Navigation Scroll bar (like the one seen at the bottom of the picture).

And when you say your version, do you mean for the link to a blog that later links to the very link I posted about the AS3 Vcam?

Which one of the guys in the credits are you? Sham Bhangal, Dave Dixon, Oscar Trelles, Darron Schall, Robert Penner, Josh Steele, Jeff Brenner, Josh Menas, Timothy Allen, or Mark Michel?

ASSEEMMBLLLLLLLLE
Might work

Thanks, The-EXP. I got it to work. Looped mc's pause now.
